Magellan is a Yb-doped fiber laser oscillator producing nJ level pulses at a wavelength of 1.03 microns. Based on a revolutionary, new concept in mode-locked laser technology1, Magellan is able to deliver higher pulse energy from an oscillator without encountering non-linear effects that cause the pulse to degrade. In fact, its unique, proprietary design uses non-linearity in the fiber to its advantage. Consequently, it is now possible to achieve up to a ten-fold improvement in power output from a source without having to post amplify. The result is a compact, robust source of picosecond or femtosecond pulses with the low noise, ease-of-operation, and reliability of a single-element, diode-pumped fiber oscillator. The standard configuration consists of a free-space propagating output port. Optionally accessories will include extensions for OCT, THz generation, multi-photon (m-p) microscopy and m-p photopolymerization on the nanometer scale.
• Yb-doped fiber laser • Single-element diode pump • Compact, robust design • Operates from 1.025-1.035 microns • nJ level pulse energies • Extremely low noise • Includes free-space and fiber-coupled output ports • Ideal for o OCT o THz generation o microscopy o photopolymerization
