Today, Sensoptic is focused in manufacturing and supplying worldwide measuring systems based on Profile Sensors. They respond to the fast growing demand of precision systems for ultra-fast monitoring of fine wires and filaments (0.5 mm down to 0.01 mm) running at high line speeds (up to 3000 m/min).

Our Profile Sensors are supplied to a variety of industrial users to detect and measure surface faults, coating defects and diameter irregularities (such as lumps, slubs, thin places and neckdowns) during the manufacturing process of bare and enameled wires, technical monofilaments, optical fibers, extrusion tubing, textile multifilaments, fine yarns and small cables.

Compared to exisiting fault detectors based on laser scanners or capacitive sensors, our Profile Sensors allow the detection of smaller defects running at higher speeds and with superior precision.
