Millipore introduces new Polysep™ II Triple Layer Media Configuration to improve process efficiency and enhance protection of sterilizing-grade membranes

Polysep II media with an innovative triple layer extends the life of expensive final filers. Offering high retention, flow rate and throughput, the new membrane configuration provides a reliable prefiltration solution for sterilizing-grade membranes in aqueous-based applications.

Comprised of borosilicate glass media and two cellulosic membranes, the integrated 1.0 nanom/0.2 nanom/0.1nanom media combines the dirt-holding capacity of a depth filter with the retention efficiency of a membrane filter. The combination offers an unsurpassed prefiltration solution for cell culture and other media filtration applications. In addition, the new Polysep II triple layer media is ideal for designing scalable solutions from bench top to full-scale manufacturing.

Polysep II triple layer media configuration is currently available in cartridge filters, and Opticap™ XL and XLT disposable capsules. The new media will be added to OptiScale® small scale devices later this year.
