Because the Model D-247 Table Instrument Stand provides such a large amount of tilt and has quick locking adjustments, it is a handy, portable accessory with many applicationsThe mounting platform is large enough for many standard size instruments and has special anchoring provision for any of the following Davidson Optronics autocollimators with ¼"-28 tapped holes: the Model D-600 Comparison Autocollimator, the Model D-638 Coordinate Autocollimator and the Model D-656 Two Axis Autocollimator.
Adding to the regular 10¾" mounting platform travel, another 4¼" travel is quickly gained by removing the three facebolts holding the platform to the base, inverting the platform and then securing it again with the same three bolts.
