Irvine, California – July 7, 2004 – Newport’s MRSI-175Ag epoxy dispenser now features a changeable pump cartridge for enhanced productivity and ease-of-use. This modular approach enables the machine to be switched in just minutes from a die attach, silver filled, conductive epoxy application to a flip chip underfill application.

This new pump system places the pump auger, chamber and dispense needle all in a single modular ‘cartridge’ that can be removed and stored even if still partially filled. Cartridge exchange is accomplished without tools, allowing the task to be performed quickly and easily. This advance broadens the utility of the MRSI-175Ag, enabling it to deliver superior results for both conductive epoxy and underfill dispensing applications, with only a simple cartridge change.
