Nanopositioning specialist PI introduces a new series of piezoceramic linear actuators dubbed PICA™-Stack actuators.

Typical Applications: Optics, Smart Structures, Precision Machining, Valve Control, Nanopositioning & Nanotechnology and other applications where nanometer precise motion, fast response and / or high forces are required.

What load ranges are available?
PICA™-Stack actuators come in a variety of load ranges from 100 N (~22
lbs) to 100,000 N (22,000 lbs). They can generate forces up to 80,000 N (~17,600 lbs).

How long do they last?
PICA™-Stack actuators are specifically designed for high-duty-cycle applications. All materials used are matched for robustness and lifetime. Endurance tests on PICA™ actuators prove consistent performance, even after billions of cycles.

Sizes, Shapes and Options
The actuators are available in a variety of sizes and shapes, from circular to square, and triangular, even through-hole designs are standard. Options include special high / low temperature versions, nonmagnetic versions and vacuum compatible versions.
