A new generation of diode lasers was introduced with acclaim by JENOPTIK Laserdiode GmbH at Photonics West 2004.

JENOPTIK Laserdiode GmbH (JOLD), headquartered in Jena, Germany, surprised the industry at Photonics West 2004 from January 27-29, 2004 with a true innovation: horizontal stacks with a newly developed cooling system.

„Our product combines perfect cooling, easy of installation and outstanding quality“ is how Detlev Wolff, Sales & Marketing at JENOPTIC Laserdiode, explains the benefits of the new diode laser. “The response at the trade show was overwhelming. By achieving galvanic isolation from the cooling water circuit and power supply we have become the world leader when it comes to quality and reliability.”

The competition took notice as well. The JOLD product was greeted by visitors as well as exhibitors at Photonics West as the only innovation in the area of diode lasers.

Cooled with industrial water, the diode lasers have a life expectancy of 20,000 or more hours at a constant 50W of power per submount. Thanks to their compactness, they are especially easy and uncomplicated to integrate into solid-state lasers. The tightly packed diode laser submounts provide a continuous strip of light with very little optical expenditure.
