JENOPTIK Laserdiode GmbH, the leader in quality of high-power diode lasers, has introduced its new passively cooled QCW diode laser stack (JOLD-x-Q-8A).

With a new passively cooled QCW stack, JENOPTIK Laserdiode GmbH is using their experience in manufacturing high-quality diode lasers in the domain of QCW diode lasers for the first time.
This QCW stack can be air cooled and has an optical output power of up to 1600 W typically at 195 A for duty cycles up to 2 % or up to 1200 W typically at 150 A for duty cycles up to 4 %, voltage is less than 17 V. The expected lifetime is more than 1 GShot.
This product is designed to fulfill highest requirements in respect of thermal as well as mechanical stability and is geared to the use e.g. in the aerospace industry.
