The Inspire OPO has multiple output ports for simultaneous UV, visible and infrared output, making it ideal for applications that require multiple wavelengths, such as coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) imaging. The OPO delivers an unprecedented >1W of average power from 345-520nm and >400mW from 490-750nm. Additionally, the Inspire OPO provides adjustable pulse widths (from 80 to 350fs). Optimized for high stability, the robust OPO is insensitive to ambient temperature change.
Also being introduced as part of the product family is the Inspire™ Blue, an automated frequency doubler for Ti:Sapphire lasers. The Inspire Blue features high UV and blue conversion efficiency and automated tuning.
“We are pleased to offer the Inspire ultrafast OPO with industry-leading performance and user-friendly operation,” notes Herman Chui, Senior Director of Product Marketing for Newport’s Spectra-Physics Lasers Division. He adds, “The wide tuning range and high power enables new applications in multiphoton and CARS imaging, time-resolved spectroscopy and advanced scientific research.”
"We are pleased to introduce the broadest offering of high reliability, compact lasers with best-in-class lifetime data, making them ideal for various bioinstrumentation fluorescence applications," said JŸrgen Niederhofer, Product Marketing Manager for Newport Spectra-Physics Lasers Division. "The superior beam quality and exceptionally low optical noise of our Excelsior lasers result in excellent fluorescence signal-to-noise ratios."
The comprehensive family of reliable DPSS lasers features excellent thermal management for simplified mechanical integration. Small and compact, the advanced DPSS laser line offers plug-and-play performance with no matched pairs and no adjustments needed.
The company unveiled the new Excelsior and Cyan compact DPSS lasers at Photonics West in San Jose, California in January, 2009. Newport recently introduced another life and health science product, Spectra-Physics Mai Tai® eHP DeepSee™ ultrafast laser with the highest peak power for maximum fluorescence signal in biological imaging applications.
