Irvine, CA - January 16, 2007 - Newport Corporation, a worldwide leader in laser and photonic solutions that Make, Manage, and Measure LightSM, today announced that the company will unveil the new Vizix™ Mirror Mount and Platform Mount at Photonics West 2007 at the San Jose's McEnery Convention Center, in San Jose, California, in Newport's booth, #817.
"Newport's Vizix mounts are designed with high quality features such as brass bushings, metal knobs and 100-TPI adjusters, but it is the value price that makes this an outstanding product," said Rick Sebastian, Product Manager, at Newport. "They are an ideal solution for laser and optics research applications that require a compact, robust kinematic design at an affordable price."
Newport's Vizix Optical Mounts are available in an aperture version for 1-in. (25.4-mm) diameter optics, as well as a platform version for holding mounted mirrors, prisms, or cube beamsplitters. UPA-series adaptors, which are compatible with the Vizix optical mounts, allow other various sizes and types of optics to be securely held and positioned. Precision 100-TPI adjustment screws with brass inserts are standard on all V100-series mounts providing exceptionally smooth, high-resolution adjustment.
