Newport has introduced a new line of Infrared Viewers: the IRV Series. They are used to look at laser or laser diode light sources emitting in the near infrared. Applications include alignment of optical components in the optical path in lab and manufacturing environments. Two viewers are available, with slight differences in specifications.
The IRV1 Series are smaller, battery operated, low-cost IR viewers. They are shipped with the handle, IR filter and case.
The IRV2 Series are slightly larger, battery operated IR viewers. They can also be operated by means of an external, 3 VDC power supply (not included). The handle, IR filter, 2.5X lens and case are shipped with most of these viewers (the 2.5X lens is not supplied with the IRV2-270 model, as it does not transmit in the UV). The tables below list all available models along with optional accessories.
All viewers have a 1/4-20 threaded hole for handle attachment, post or tripod mounting.
