OSEC® On-Site Electrolytic Chlorination Systems - Wallace & Tiernan

PRINT
BACK

There are different systems available:

- Models OSEC-B (brine) and OSEC-S (seawater) operate as open multi-stage once-through cells. The electrodes are arranged in a pipe. Strength of the prepared sodium hypochlorite solution is 2 g/l active chlorine in the seawater type and 6 ... 8 g/l active chlorine in the brine type electrolyser.

- The OSEC-A is a chlorine membrane electrolyser system generating highly active hypochloric acid from CEDOLYT A 9/18 (technically pure hydrochloric acid). Capacity is up to 50 g/h chlorine.

- The model OSEC-NT operates with an electrolyser cell having an ion exchange membrane separating the anode and cathode compartments. It is available in size 150-300g/h, the OSEC-NT+ is available for 650-6400 g/h chlorine. This optimised system offers better results in heat recovery and energy consumption.

- The chlorine gas and the caustic soda generated in this electrolyser are passed to a reaction tower where a sodium hypochlorite solution containing approx. 25 g/ l active chlorine is produced.
This solution is stored in a holding tank from which it is dosed by metering pumps to the point of application.
