When aqueous solutions are used, oil will normally float to the surface whenever the machine remains still for more than a few minutes. If this oil is skimmed off, the service life of the liquid and its cleaning power will be considerably extended.
This can be done automatically with the oil separator option consisting of a slowly around its axle turning disc (4 rpm) in stainless steel AISI 304 and partially immersed in the liquid.

The oil clings to the rising side of the disc, and is removed from the descending side by 2 plastic scrapers. The oil is then removed from the machine via a drain tube running into a collector at the outside of the machine where it must be catched.

Depending on the quantity and viscosity of the oil, this system has a skimming capacity of 5 to 20 litres an hour. The disc is driven by a variable speed moter 2 phases-24V-AC.

All parts in the wet area are made of stainless steel AISI 304 and plastic. It is also possible to programm the skimmer to operate at the most favorable skimming time (by nighttime for example). Therefor a timer in the electric box with a weekly or interventionprogramm is provided as standard with this option.
