Optical fiber connectors are available in a wide variety of styles and types for singlemode and multi mode fibers. Choosing which one to use is usually decided by the type of fiber connector already installed in the equipment or patch cord to be connected. Optical fiber connectors rely upon alignment of the two prepared fiber core ends in close proximity (butted) to each other so that the fiber core axes coincide with low insertion loss and back reflection.

Our list includes connectors for single mode and multimode optical fibers and is compliant with Bellcore ( Telcordia GR-326-CORE ) and IEA specifications. The Intelmac optical fiber connector range includes SC, ST, FC, LC and MU connectors while the optical fiber ferrule range includes SC and LC ferrules.
