This detector has a 2 inch diameter sample chamber producing a factor of 16 increase in the area available for samples as compared to the standard detector which has a 0.5 inch diameter chamber. The PAC300C can be configured as shown with an adjustable beam expander which produces beam diameters in the sample plane from 1.0 in. to 2.0 in. diameter. Alternately the PAC300C can be configured with multi-well sample holders accommodating 73 samples which are analyzed sequentially under the control of the FTIR computer.
