The Perfect RNA® Mini Kit for the purification of total RNA from eukaryotic tissue and cells provides a fast and safe purification method which avoids the use of organic solvents. The kit contains a chaotropic guanidine/isothiocyanate solution for cell lysis and rapid deactivation of cellular RNases. The total RNA in the lysate is subsequently bound to the Perfect RNA binding matrix, washed thoroughly and finally eluted. The result is intact total RNA of over 200 bases with A260/280of 1.9 to 2.1. The total purified RNA generated by the Perfect RNA method is suitable for immediate use in molecular biology processes like purifi cation of poly(A)+mRNA, RT-PCR, Northern blotting, RNase protection assays and cDNA syntheses.
