The Positive Diplacement Pump with pigging ports PPV3 is a new concept resulting in the combination of two existing technologies :
- The pumping function of a tri-rotor
- Pump and the pigging function of its inlet and outlet ports.

This patented pump* has been developed by Volumatic and Blending Systems for applications requiring both functions in pollution free installations, due to the new Regulations in the matter of environment.

Equipped with two pig-stop air cylinders and one air operated ball valve, this pump is easy to control and provides a very safe operation.
The simple and sturdy construction of the pump PPV3 tolerates intensive service in the most difficult environment.

Performances:
- Operation in both directions of flows (pump and pig translation are reversible).
- Reduced dead volumes and complete drainage of the pump.
- Modular construction in 2 parts for easy and independant overhaul of the pump and pigging straight section of pipe.
- More compact and cheaper than any derivation pumping circuit used in pigging installations.
- Ball valve operated by one fourth turn air actuator and controlled by proximity sensors.

- Materials : bracket, rotors & pigging straight section in cast iron, mechanical seals in stainless steel / Viton, ball valve in stainless steel, seals in Viton.
- Flow rate : up to 24 m3/h, depending on the viscosity
- Viscosity : up to 20.000 cSt
- NPSH required : 0.6 bars abs
- Discharge pressure : 7 bars max
- Temperature : 200°C max
- Ports : 2" & 3" ANSI 150FF schedule 10 &40
