Power inductors used to supply power

PRINT
BACK

The major use of a power inductor is as a power supply circuit to supply power to the CPU in a PC. As a large quantity of current is applied to circuits of trendy laptop PCs with abundant AV and wireless LAN functions, it has already become especially difficult for the traditional power inductors to support these trendy machines. By using these, it will become possible to design PCs with more functions and a higher performance, or to realize devices with the same performance, less loss, more capacity for long-time driving, and less trouble in cooling. Also, a high-performance and multifunctional telephone with a moving image shooting function and a high-resolution display, such as the third generation mobile phones, are now infinitely close to PCs. Therefore, a more efficient power supply is required, and in the near future, metal cores and magnet-bias method will make a significant contribution to this application. NEC TOKIN’s power inductor series will offer excellent characteristics that support future electronics devices with more functions and a higher performance.
