Verify water flow rate (GPM/lpm) meets manufacturer's minimum specification Make sure flow sensor is plugged in. Turn the water on. Verify the wheel is spinning and there are no foreign objects obstructing the water flow. The laser should not have any back pressure on the drain line, this will prevent proper cooling of the laser and the flow sensor may no function. Measure the voltage across flow wheels terminals on the back of the sensor, this should be a minimum of 70 mv AC with water running through the laser The above procedure will determine if the flow switch is faulty. Further, if the flow switch is intermittent this would indicate a bad sensor coil. Most older flow sensors must be replaced in its entirety. When replacing a flow sensor, we recommend using the brass housing series. It is a bit more expensive, but it is not prone to cracking and the sensor coil is replaceable
