The QM2000 board is the heart of the LD2000 system. The LD2000 software cannot run without this powerful computer-on-a-board being installed into the PCI bus on a host PC. The host can be either a desktop computer or a notebook computer with a PCI-bus docking station.
Each QM2000 controls one projector head (an XY set of scanners, color control, and DMX outputs). For controlling multiple projectors, you can put up to four QM2000 boards in a single computer.

Award-winning capabilities
The QM2000 has its own microprocessor, the Motorola ColdFire, and its own on-board memory. In fact, it is so sophisticated, the host PC computer is used primarily for hard drive storage. The QM2000 can even work outside of a PC, as a standalone computer (such as in the Lasershow Player CD-ROM playback device.)
