LR models include - Laser emitter based on the fundamental, second and third harmonic frequency of a compact, pulsed, solid state Nd:YAG laser. Any combination between the 1064, 532 and 355 nm wavelengths is available. - Optical telescope and receiving optics of modern design and superior performance. A sophisticated computer-aided optomechanical design applied to all components keeps the overall size and weight of the LIDAR systems to a minimum and guarantees the reliable operation of the system. - Data acquisition system, especially designed for optical signal detection. Analog detection of the photomultiplier current and single photon counting are integrated into the same acquisition system. The combination of a powerful A/D converter (12 Bit at 40 MHz) with a 250 MHz fast photon counting system increases substantially the dynamic range of the acquired signal compared to conventional systems. - Indepented detection channels equipped with dedicated subminiature photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) selected for their excellent time and spectral response at each individual wavelength.
