The RPHU is an upgrade that can be made to existing Rediffusion Simulation Ltd (RSL) display projector heads on Full Flight Simulators fitted with SPX type image generators.

The SEOS RPHU, which incorporates refractive optics, replaces the existing Schmidt Optics tubes with industry standard 9-inch CRTs, combined with modifications to existing electronic units within the projector head to maximize phosphor utilization.
