For the identification of robot coordinate systems during measurements reference data are needed. These are to be found in robot programs in the form of single movement instructions, which often are combined to whole software modules or extensive routines. The extraction of the required point coordinates therefore involves a manual intervention within the robot programs, which results in a considerable expenditure of time. In order to optimise the processes during measurements and therefore to minimise the duration of the measurements the software application "RobFileReader" was developed for the process step described above. This enables an automatic reading of the reference data. Multiple robot programming languages are supported (e.g. for ABB, KUKA and FANUC robots). An extension for further formats is possible at any time.
