Orion 6 for Windows. Upgrade your SEM with high resolution digital images.

Basic Package Description

Digitizes in any size between 16x16 and 8192x8192 pixels (depending on your SEM)
Square pixels in any mode
Connects to any existing SEM or STEM
100% reliable for your SEM and lowest noise level due to optical isolation between SEM and PC
Images grabbed in slow scan and full photo resolution
Unique, programmable oversampling factor dramatically reduces image noise in real time
The grabbed images are immediately available to the user for processing, measurements, etc…
Images stored in full resolution, 256 grey levels per pixel (frame integration uses 16 bits per pixel during grabbing)
Easy transfer to any other application (clipboard)
Image contrast and brightness adjustments after grabbing
All popular image formats are available for storage on your hard disk or network drive (.bmp, .jpg, .TIF…)
Full compatible with Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000 and XP.
PC Requirements: Minimum Pentium or AMD 500 Mhz with 256 Mbytes RAM (512 Mbytes recommended)
17 or 21 inch monitor allows you to take advantage of the high resolution display modes
Desktop resolution can be 1024x768, 1152x864, 1280x1024 or 1600x1200 pixels.
Options:

Graphic Tools It allows image annotation, distance measurements and area extractions. Color palette, histogram display, rotation, flipping, direct email capabilities are also included.

Macro commands When a user has repetitive tasks to execute: repetitive grabbing, fast printing with standard page layouts; when it is required to simplify the user interface and optimize it for particular tasks; when it is possible to reduce a complex sequence of actions into a simple key click.

EDX option When an EDX system is connected to an SEM, and when it is possible to get an EDX dot mapping on the SEM screen. Mixing up to 16 mappings into an SE or BSE image and superimpose both results is a grey scale image where the dots can be colored (one color per mapping). The scanning must be provided by the SEM circuitry (no active drive from EDX)

3D Vision (Anaglyphs) The 3D extension mixes stereo images (i.e. grabbed when sample is tilted twice by 5… 10 degrees). The two images are mixed and the result is red/green coded. As with the EDX extension, the resulting image has 24 bits per pixel.
