SIMPA microstep card : microprocessor based indexer
The SIMPA Microstep card is a microprocessor based indexer. Connected to an amplifier, it enables the control of a stepper motor in microstep mode (up to 256 microsteps per step). This card is a true real-time PLC capable of managing stepper motors at speeds up to 20,000 steps per second (up to 1.28 MHz). In a 3U format, it integrates a second generation microprocessor based logical unit, 8 optoisolated logical inputs and 8 optoisolated logical outputs.
The SIMPA Microstep can be connected to a PC via a RS 232 C serial link. Implementation is made easy thanks to the PCSIM3 software for PC DOS which is supplied as standard with the card, or by using WINSIM for PC WINDOWS 95/98/NT, which is available as an option.
