Pulse Tube Technology is currently the leading-edge method of cryogenically cooling to temperatures as low as 4K. In both our engineering facilities in Japan and the United States, we continue to develop refrigeration capacity, temperature stability and performance repeatability.
Two engineering programs are developing 2-stage 4K Pulse Tubes for the MRI and NMR market and single-stage cryocoolers, which cool to temperatures lower than 80K, necessary for many sensors and detectors applications.
As with any mechanical cooling device, the vibration signature is higher than that of a liquid gas. Having no moving parts at the cold end, Pulse Tube technology offers a great potential for improved reliability, lower vibration and lower cost than traditional G-M and Stirling cryocoolers.
