Especially for thin material cutting and marking and for thin sheet metal welding the high power laserscanner was developed. Typical for these materials is that they can be laser-processed at tremendous speeds. And the scanner enables the laser beam to obtain that speed.
MultiScan
Cutting speeds up to 20 m/s [60 ft/s] are already everyday's reality in various three shift production applications.
This technology is ideal for thin film cutting and marking of various organic and non-organic materials like paper, cloth, fabric, plastics, leather and abrasives.
ScanWeld
Interesting for sheet welding is, beside the general advantages of laser welding, the unequalled gain in productivity. When comparing to spotwelding, the non-productive time between the welds decreases to almost zero, because of the lack of time consuming spot welder repositioning. In this way the production time of a spotwelded part with 6 spots can be reduced from e.g. a minute to less than 7 seconds.
