Series 90-70 CPUs are based on Intel microprocessor technology, allowing performance enhancements following the Intel technology curve. Each CPU uses two main processors-a general-purpose microprocessor and Boolean coprocessor for quick execution of discrete functions. The high-performance CPX series offers enhanced performance and features over the previous CPUs. The CPX CPUs are direct replacements for the previous generation.

Model 731 :
- 512 discrete I/O points and 8K analog I/O points
- 32K user memory
- 186 Processor

CPX Series :
- Single slot CPU with three serial ports
- 0.4 microseconds per boolean function
- Flash memory for storage of operating system (no EPROMs required)

Model CSE 784 and 925 :
- Reduced time for programming and documentation while simplifying troubleshooting and debugging
- Control programs in State Logic, ladder logic and C can execute at the same time

CGR CPUs - Designed for Hot Standby Features :
- Offers CPU redundancy for applications or processes needing high availability
- Two CPUs connected on one or more Genius buses
- Control can be switched automatically or manually

Model 789/790 - Providing Triple Modular Redundancy Features :
- Offers scalable CPU and I/O Redundancy for critical and safety applications
- Utilizes auto testing, discrepancy reporting and other extensive latent fault diagnostics
