Goodfellow has added sheets of 30 percent glass fiber reinforced Vectra® B sheets to the growing line of Vectra products the company offers.

Reinforcing glass fibers provide better dimensional stability, increased stiffness, higher strength, better heat resistance, and reduced anisotropy (the state of exhibiting properties with different values when measured in different directions) compared to non-reinforced Vectra.

Products benefiting from these characteristics include, but are not limited to, glow plug connects, smart-card readers, mobile phone i/o connectors, as well as various components in portable video projectors, printers and CD/MD players. The sheets are available as machining feedstock with a thickness of 10 mm.
