Feb 14th 2005, Agoura, CA - Phresh Photonics announces the release of its newest product: a Small Footprint Quadrant Photodiode Amplifier Hybrid, p/n SiQu50-TIA.

Phresh Photonics’ SiQu50-TIA is a unique positioning module that combines a Silicon Quadrant Photodiode with amplifiers resulting in a complete sensing and amplification unit with a small footprint.

With excellent response in the Vis-NIR this module can be used with most any light source. The SiQu50-TIA hybrid provides for amplification (104KΩ) of each of the quadrant’s element’s current and outputs an amplified voltage; all in the same footprint size of the detector itself. Just a little over a half inch in diameter!!! This module can be used to very accurately determine the location, position and movement as well as the intensity fluctuation of a light beam.

The standard version uses just +3 to +18 volts from a single power supply, and has a sensing area of 8mmØ; alternative versions for use with dual power supplies or with a smaller UV enhanced quad are also available as well as custom circuits and packaging. The SiQu50-TIA is priced at $155.00 in small quantities and available from stock.

Typical applications include laser beam alignment (including in a feedback loop), target acquisition, aiming systems and other position sensing needs.
