Our epMotion automated liquid handling workstations are flexible, easy to use and extremely accurate-they are the ideal robotic platform for all your liquid handling needs. Their design is so compact, they can fit into any laboratory environment-that is the smart workstation concept.
The ability to pipette from single tubes or reservoirs to 96-well and 384-well plates is built in. With advanced programming options, such as serial dilutions, pooling functions and contactfree liquid level sensing, the epMotion family can be used for virtually all of your routine applications. The comprehensive range of accessories covers a multitude of applications for low-to-medium sample throughput.
The innovative control panel with keyboard, mouse and color display is particularly user-friendly, and it eliminates the need for a PC; however, for those who prefer, PC software is also available.
The following pages describe the different models in the epMotion family and their relevant applications:
- epMotion 5070: for basic Liquid Handling applications with small sample throughput
- epMotion 5075 LH: for basic Liquid Handling applications with medium sample throughput
- epMotion 5075 VAC: with integrated vaccum station for the fully automatic carrying out of nucleic acid purification
- epMotion 5075 MC: with integrated Mastercycler ep 96 or 384 for PCR automation
- The epMotion 5070 workstation enables fast and reproducible dispensing by way of pipetting, dispensing and other dispensing variants. Extensive previous skills or long training are not necessary.
Protocols that previously have been carried out manually can now be transferred easily and quickly to the epMotion 5070 workstation, and tried-and-true pipetting procedures have been maintained. Its great similarity to manual pipettes and the familiar manual work method make moving to automation very easy.
Operate the epMotion via the connected control panel-the connected mouse enables free movement of the cursor over the integrated screen. Operation is intuitive and flexible: the software prompts you step-by-step through the necessary actions; and because the epMotion 5070 workstation can operate without a PC, precious bench space is saved.
The epMotion 5075 VACcomes equipped with a complete vacuum station. This system is clearly designed for processing vacuumbased, high-throughput systems for nucleic acid isolation in a 96-well format.
- The epMotion 5075 MC can be equipped with our new Mastercycler ep thermal cyclers. A wide variety of confi guration options ensure optimum adaptation to your individual laboratory environment. The measurable advantage of this fully automated system is the high level of reliability and precise performance of complex work steps. The combination of sample preparation and PCR in one sealed housing enables contamination-free performance of amplification reactions.
