The powerful SpectraWiz® 32 bit spectrometer software is provided free of charge with every spectrometer instrument.  This includes drivers and customizable software for operation on Win95/ Win98/ WinNT /WinME /Win2000 /WinXP.

SpectraWiz® allows the user to change various parameters that control the operation of the spectrometer and how the data is displayed in real-time.  For example, the spectral display may be zoomed, rescaled, snap shot, printed, graphed, exported, overlayed, and graphed in 3d from episodic capture.  Other controls are provided for detector integration (4ms-60sec), data smoothing (Savinsky-Golay, Box Car, Persistance), temperature compensation (every 15 seconds), and spectroscopy display modes such as absorbance, transmission, irradiance, illuminance, and scope view for raw spectral data..

Easy to use toolbar functions allow data cursor manipulation for measurement of selected object wavelength ranges and peaks areas.  These include identify peak FWHM (Full Width Half Max), peak wavelength, and object centroid such as produced by laser diodes and LEDs, and display the power spectral density (PSD area integral).  Additional features are provided for custom labeling of spectral graph printouts, such as required for QC documentation.

SpectraWiz also has a special feature to allow setting a spectral trigger level in order to capture an optical event.  This can be coupled with another feature that performs spectral data capture over time (Episodic Data capture).  Episodic Data capture automatically time stamps each saved spectrum.  After completion, the data can be viewed and zoomed using a 3d graph with spectral time stamp labels.  Specific wavelengths can then be extracted, saved, and viewed as a time series.  Episodic data capture works with all types of spectral data (absorbance, emission, illuminance, reflectance, transmission, etc.). Wow !

In addition to real-time spectroscopy for absorbance /transmission /reflectance measurements and fiber optic spectrum analysis tools, SpectraWiz® has built-in applications for SpectroRadiometry, SpectroColorimetry, ChemWiz chemistry lab concentration analyzer, and UV level monitors.
