LIMAB has over 20 years experience as a laser sensor supplier to the wood market.

We are one of the pioneers in non contact dimensional measurement in sawmills, planing mills, components and furniture industry. Today we have a broad range of sensors and systems, each one designed for its specific application.





LIMAB can supply systems for dimensional and profile control such as:


Thickness and width measurement for sorting and control in transversal as well as logitudinal transport conveyors.
System for board vane optimization and profile deformation/shape error measurement ( such as twist, straightness and flatbow ). For use in trimmers, planers and edgers as cut optimization and quality grade sorting.
For length measurement of boards LIMAB has created a "standard" for fast and very accurate measurement in sorting and planing mills, where the sensor is mounted next to the transversal conveyor.
