Visitors to the MipTec 2005 event in Basel from the 9th-12th May should visit Stand # A32 in Hall 4.1 to see the range of automation instruments Tecan has to offer. MipTec will see the European launch of Tecan’s new family of HS Pro hybridization stations, designed to automate a variety of microarray applications. The new models feature a unique ABS™ (Active Bubble Suppression) system, which prevents formation of bubbles within the chambers, eliminating hybridization artifacts and ensuring reproducible and reliable results. In addition, novel dual chambers enable processing of two independent arrays per slide.
Also on the stand, delegates will have the opportunity to take a closer look at Tecan’s Screening Workstation with Te-MO 96 multi-channel pipetting option, the Aquarius 384 multi-channel pipettor, the Freedom EVO 75 liquid handling platform, and the Safire² and GENios Pro microplate readers.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to attend two lunchtime seminars held by Tecan on May 11th. The first at 12pm, held in association with Promega, will cover multiplexing cell based assays and features presentations from Prof. Dr. Jozefa Gadek-Wesierski from the Medical University of Vienna, Austria, and from Dr. John Watson from Promega. The second seminar at 1pm will focus on recent advances in automated sample preparation and advises on ways of improving microarray processing and scanning through automation.
