GENERAL FRAMEWORK
The activities of test centres are subject to significant constraints, in terms of deadlines and management of a great diversity and large quantity of data.
Therefore, within the framework of . aiming to improve working methods . company quality policy INTESPACE offers installation of a TDMS to improve the productivity of test systems, traceability of operations and tracking of miscellaneous jobs, and for implementation of automatic reporting systems.
THE REQUIREMENT
The requirement expressed by Test departments is to bring together, in the same environment, all data related to different test programmes, in order to: • centralise and share information between the different participants, • ensure traceability, • increase productivity by automating the tasks of writing test reports and administrative documents.

The Dynaworks® Product Application team offers a structured approach for this type of project, to meet a requirement based on a customer specification: • Study of the requirement in relation to the customer's trade, • Writing specifications, • Data architecture and modelling, • Development of the system and its interfaces, • Support and specific training.
A database:
The DYNAWORKS® application, which is based on an object-oriented relational database, is perfectly suited to efficient management of this data. In effect, Dynaworks® enables data to be organised in accordance with the user's own working methods, by defining a customized database schema. This schema identifies the objects to be manipulated and defines the relations between them. The functions available allow data related to a project to be found quickly and easily. The Dynaworks® Drawing Board module manages documents of up to several hundred pages. Thanks to its link with the database, it can be used to automate the production of test reports. These can then be exported to Microsoft Word for finalization.
THE SOLUTION
Based on the customer's working practices, the Product Application team conducts a study of structure and data flows, resulting in the development of a system of dialogue between the different databases (test resources, sensors, administrative and technical data) to build up a specific "dossier" for each test campaign.
This means that at any time, any authorized user can access the most recent information, from any company workstation, quickly and efficiently. A trace is kept logging actions and modifications. For each test campaign a complete dossier is then kept, part of which is supplied to the customer.
