Photon follows in the footsteps of the highly successful ThermoVision Micron IR camera (previously Omega). Photon is based on a 320x240 uncooled focal plane array (FPA) that employs 38-micron pixels. The larger array and smaller pixels provide Photon with twice the resolution and better instantaneous field of view than Micron, enabling better detection and recognition ranges
