Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions and Omnisens SA Announce Global Partnership and Launch of Trace Gas Analyzer TGA 320.
Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions joins with Omnisens SA announcing their global business partnership and the distribution of the new Lighthouse Trace Gas Analyzer. The new Trace Gas Analyzer’s TGA320 system offers a highly sensitive maintenance-free measuring system for continuous monitoring of Ammonia concentration. An extremely low detection limit, of 0.1 ppb, and a large dynamic range are the key features of Omnisens laser-based Photo-Acoustic detection system. In addition, the measuring technique offers a high selectivity, an inherent stability and, the natural ability to perform continuous measurements.
“We established an alliance with Omnisens SA not only because of their state-of-the-art technology but also because of the services they will provide us, such as interpreting data from the Trace Gas Analyzers and recognizing AMC trends in our clients’ facilities,” said Adam Giandomenico, President at Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions.
The partnership between Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions and Omnisens SA has many benefits for both companies and their cleanroom customers. It will provide leading edge instrumentation, validation support, 24-hour worldwide service, software technology and also the very best in technical solutions through applications technology.
The new Trace Gas Analyzer’s TGA320 system is designed for on-line continuous monitoring. The gas is flowing through tubes without any human intervention. Multisampling can easily be setup. The DSP-based electronics controls the system, displays gas concentrations continuously, and provides a fast response time of less than 2 seconds. A dedicated computer interfaces directly with the system and enables on-line continuously repeated measurements.
Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions will use the Trace Gas Analyzer Technology by Omnisens SA to measure AMC levels in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, data storage, nanotechnology and biotechnology cleanrooms.

Airborne Molecular Contamination Monitoring
Airborne Molecular Contamination (AMC) can be loosely defined as chemical gas phase contamination that has a detrimental effect on a product or process. These chemical vapors can come from many different sources including:
Make-Up Air (MUA) Operating personnel Aging materials Recirculated Air Cleanroom construction materials Cooling systems Process chemicals Leaks of process fluids Cleaning solutions Misadjusted exhaust levels Outgassing of various materials Chemical spills
When addressing AMC, the most important aspect is to consider what type of gases affect the process and at what level. Some processes or products may be extremely sensitive to one type of chemical and not another. When planning to monitor for AMC, it is important to understand that there is no 'catch all AMC sensor.' AMC monitoring is not like particle counting where you can assume that all of it can affect your product. Determining the types of chemicals that the products are most sensitive to, and their possible sources, can go a long way in determining the best abatement and monitoring plans.
Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions also designs AMC monitoring systems that address each customer's own set of unique considerations. We do not 'shoe horn' or 'tweak' specific technology to monitor what the instrument was never designed to do.
Examples of chemicals of interest:
Ammonia Total Hydrocarbons Total Amines Sulfur Dioxide Total Molecular Base Total Molecular Acids Reactivity Monitoring Chlorine Hydrogen Peroxide NMP Nitrogen Oxide
AMC Manifold System
Lighthouse provides a 4-instrument AMC manifold that can connect up to 24 sample locations to up to 4 separate AMC detectors. This would allow for the continuous AMC monitoring of 24 locations in a cleanroom for 4 separate gases. Users can pick any combination of AMC monitors. Typical installations of theses systems include stepper monitoring in photolithography cleanrooms or mask writing tools in photo-mask manufacturing.
