BFi OPTiLAS International is pleased to announce the introduction of the Ocean Optics USB-4000 Miniature Fiber Spectrometer. This next-generation instrument includes a 3648-element Toshiba linear CCD array for increased signal-to-noise and enhanced electronics for controlling the spectrometer and accessories. The detector ranges from 200-1100 nm and this compact tool (89 x 34 x 63 mm) offers 8 onboard digital user-programmable GPIOs and integration time can be as short as 10 microseconds. With USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) and RS-232 interface and a price starting at 2004 €, it is likely to become even more successful than his predecessor the USB-2000.

Also new at BFi OPTiLAS is a range of new Ocean Optics products such as Raman Systems and NIR spectrometers.
