The V-Dome is a modular display system which can project real-time images across huge hemispheres. We have installed more than 40 full dome solutions worldwide including the first real-time planetarium in the world at The Hayden Planetarium, New York. Overall we have installed more video based domes than any other company. However at SEOS we fully appreciate that the display is not the only part of the experience. Audio, facilities, access, seating, and control are just some of the additional areas where we have experience. As new projector technologies have emerged, SEOS has begun supporting a broader range of suppliers and developing projector-independent system enablers to make it easier to select the most appropriate devices for the application. Our range includes CRT, LCD, DLP, LCoS and D-ILA projectors which can be specified according to your specific requirements.
Features and benefits SEOS can offer the full suite of productions from the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) as part of the V-Dome solutions portfolio, the world-class Space Shows, ‘Passport to the Universe’, and ‘The Search for Life: Are We Alone?’ as well as the dazzling digitally animated alternative music show ‘SonicVision’, are all available. SEOS is computer vendor and display technology neutral. We can offer an independent pre-design service which is tailored to suit individual customer or project needs. It will encompass the whole VR environment and typically focuses on the physical space, HVAC and power requirements for the main VR system and support systems such as media players, matrix switching and the methods for storage and playback of recorded media. We are fully able to integrate our systems with equipment supplied by other vendors such as star projectors, audio systems, and lighting if required. SEOS' Spider is an independent post-production tool which enables media from a single high resolution source to be divided into suitable segments for projection by a multi channel display solution. When projected, the image is reconstructed to its original master.
