The VCamControl software is a powerful tool for controlling cameras as well as for the perfect postprocessing of single images and image sequences. The software supports nearly all VDS Vosskühler digital cameras, from 1 megapixel to currently 11 megapixels. Various framegrabbers or IEEE1394 cards can be used for image acquisition. The software always works with the original camera raw data. Later postprocessing always base on this unmodified data. Brightness, contrast and color balance can later be adapted to the corresponding requirements. In addition to the raw data format (RAW) images can be saved in the formats TIF (8/16 Bit) and BMP. Sequences can be stored in a proprietary format without any loss. Most of today's cameras avoid color artefacts by means of an optical low-pass filter, however causing simultaneously a reduction of image sharpness and resolution. On the contrary to that VDS Vosskühler has developed a special color conversion algorithm which reduces color artefacts to a minimum and which eliminates the need of an optical filter. Features: Acquisition of single images or any sequences Color correction through a LUT (Look Up Table) White adjustment Histogram display Statistics display Real time measurement of exposure and image sharpness Extensive and comfortable adjustment of exposure time Universal grabber interface
