The island has been designed in order to attain a high level of flexibility with a quick equipment change. Up to 200 different types of water pump used for the cooling of the motor vehicle engine can be produced on this type of system: the equipment change, in the most complex event can be performed in 3 hours. The majority of the movement carried out by the machine is managed by brushless electrical motors controlled in both space and speed. The main characteristics of the machine are the drivers, entirely electronic, which allow for the development of forces up to 4000Kg, with a driving precision of 0.1 mm.
