On show at the forthcoming Chips-to-Hits 2004 meeting in Boston, USA (20-22nd September 2004) the QArray2 from Genetix is a high-throughput, fully featured microarrayer that is ideal for DNA, protein and antibody arraying.
A combination of a high-precision flat bed design together with 1 µm resolution on all linear servo drive axes ensures the accurate printing and reproducible spot location required to produce superior high-density microarrays. Engineered with minimal moving parts the QArray2 is built for long-term reliability and excellent performance.
The QArray2 has the capacity to array 90 slides from 70 source microplates and includes automated lid removal and replacement to maintain sample integrity. The stand-alone system comes fully enclosed with HEPA filtration for dust-free printing, and offers a number of optional extras including humidity control and source plate chiller to provide the optimum environment for printing and sample integrity. A high-pressure wash station with compressed air drying cleans the pins and eliminates carryover.
Flexible control over array design, spot density, number / type of spotting pins used and pin wash routines is provided by the intuitive, yet powerful QSoft Microarray software.
