The project concerns a processing chain for dynamic measurements recorded during engine
tests, in the aeronautics domain.

THE REQUIREMENT

The aim of the analysis chain is to read data stored on tapes and apply signal processing
operations to temporal data, in order to produce results that can be used by engineering
offices.It must be possible to perform the processes in real-time or on a deferred basis, and to view the results produced in real-time, as well as printing and storing them for later use.

PERFORMANCE

The system must be able to process and display 32 channels in real-time. Real-time input is
at a rate of 100,000 samples per second. The display is updated at a rate of 4Hz.

THE DYNAWORKS SOLUTION

Dynaworks meets requirements for real-time visualisation and processing, as well as printing and storage; functions concerning reading temporal data from analogue or digital tapes are performed by another application. Temporal data is sent to the Dynaworks visualisation and real-time processing module. This module performs standard
signal processing operations: dc component, root-mean-square value, conversion of temporal signals in the frequency plane, signal portion extraction, etc. It also allows integration of any number of specific processes.
The Dynaworks visualisation and real-time processing module supplies real-time displays in 2D and 3D windows similar to those supplied by the Dynaworks application. These windows can be configured in a preparatory phase: scale, colours, representation mode, type of graduation, etc. In real-time, scaling functions (zoom, linear-logarithm transfer) and print
functions are available.
The results produced are stored in a Dynaworks database that can then be consulted using the Dynaworks application.
