WEG CTW direct current drives

WEG CTW-04 series Direct Current Drives are robust, highly precise and reliable drives destined for the start and control of direct current motors. All functions, like firing, setting, protections and signaling, are controlled by a high performance micro-processor. This guarantees great flexibility and facility in adapting to diverse applications in various industrial segments.

They are basically constituted of a power stage and a control stage. The power stage is formed by a three-phase, totally controlled (CTW-U4) thyristored bridge and by another two thyristored bridges in an anti-parallel configuration (CTW-A4). This allows the DC drive to operate in four quadrants, with regenerative breaking and reversal in rotation direction. The micro-processor and the other circuits with algorithms and an interface for setting, firing, protection and signaling are in the control stageExtruders, injectors, blowers, mixers, rollers, pullers, winders, unwinders, cutters, welders, dosing and process pumps, fans, exhausts, stirrers, filters, rotating ovens, wood chip conveyors, paper rollers, coaters, transporters, conveyors, presses, clamps, millers, dryers, washers, centrifuging machines, passenger and load elevators, etc
