Unicast solid block base
The mobile part of the arm is made up of a cylindrical axle featuring both up/down and rotation motions.
This axle can accommodate a wide variety of tools:
- Needle holder for liquid distribution
- Disposable tip dispensers
- and many more....
A step-by-step motor actuates each movement, allowing for variable speeds and multiple stop positions.
The unicast block unit comprises the two motors as well as the requisite sensors.
Only one connector hooks up to the electronic control board.
By means of the additional anchor points at the base, the gripper arm may further be used for :
- teeming out / decanting over liquid samples or reagents, by means of either a level-detecting needle or disposable tips,
- carrying over appropriate items
- displacing electrodes, etc...
