The unique Krystal 2000 plate range from Porvair Sciences (www.porvair-sciences.com) has been optimised for luminescence and fluorescence assays. A patented manufacturing process provides for clear, individual wells in an opaque matrix. The special design of the plate eliminates the well-to-well light cross talk inherent with other clear-bottomed microplate designs, enabling unmatched accuracy and repeatability of photometric readings.

Krystal 2000 plates are supplied in a 96 x 350 µl/well format. The unique clear well design offers improved cell binding efficiency and allows the convenience of direct measurements on bottom reading spectrophotometers and inverted microscopes. Constructed in ultra-pure grade polystyrene, Krystal 2000 microplates are available in opaque white, black, and black and white combination formats. The white matrix provides for maximum reflectivity, allowing high sensitivity luminescence assays. The black matrix absorbs light to minimise background interference in fluorometric assays. Plates are available with a high binding irradiated surface or tissue culture treated. Packaged in boxes of 100, they are also provided in special HTS packs that include 4 sleeves of 25 plates with lids.

Maintaining SBS standard 96-well microplate dimensions the Krystal 2000 range is fully compatible with most plate readers, robotic sample processors and automated liquid handling systems.
